Pallets

Quality

There are two types of new pallets:

• those pallets built from new lumber;
• those newly manufactured with used pallet components (remanufactured pallets) or a combination of new used components (combo pallets).

Boards can contain fragments of nails resulting from the disassembly process in their recovery, but this in no way compromises their performance. Recovered components, for example, are often generated from pallets originally built to Imperial measure rather than metric, and which are no longer usable in their present form.

These provide a good quality source of components for remanufactured pallets.

Grade "A" Recycled pallets:

These are pallets that have already been used, but the wood is bright and in excellent quality.

Refurbishers calls them " white pallets". In the USA, one does not typically distinguish between new (combo) pallets and recondicioned pallets. These 2 types of pallets are both marketed as "A" or number one recycled pallets.

Palettes reconditionnées B:

These have been used and certain elements may have been replaced or repaired. These pallets are repaired and recycled according to the standards current or demands of the customers (in North America at least) They are of very good quality. These pallets may be slightly weathered in appearance, and can contain some minor defects that do not affect performance.
